YSU Scotland Summer Study Abroad Exhibition
Judith Rae Solomon Gallery | Bliss Hall
October 8 through October 26
Reception: Wednesday, October 10, 4:30-6:00 p.m.

The program, located in Glasgow, Scotland, was the inaugural study abroad experience sponsored by the Department of Art, Cliffe College, and Red Press Collaborative. Over the course of a month, students worked under the instruction of Associate Professor Joseph D’Uva at the Glasgow Print Studio, an internationally- acclaimed studio facility and gallery located in the heart of Glasgow’s City Centre. Students created their artwork alongside some of Great Britain’s most prominent artists and master printers while studying various techniques in intaglio, relief printing, screen-printing and drawing. Professor D’Uva also led weekly class excursions throughout the region, visiting exhibitions, museums, and significant landmarks, including trips to: Stirling Castle, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh, Glasgow Cathedral, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Largs via Steamship, and sites bordering Loch Lomond (Scottish Highlands). “Geeza a wee exhib…” is a celebration of our journey throughout Scotland and the artwork created while abroad.
